CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As 2019 comes to a close and people tend to slow down for the holiday season, Pink Energy formally known as POWERHOME SOLAR is keeping its foot on the gas. The passion for bringing solar energy and energy efficiency to the masses does not hibernate in the winter! 2019 has been the company’s best year since its inception in 2015, with the company already having smashed its prior revenue record of $102 million from a year ago.

Pink Energy’s explosive growth was recognized on Thursday at the Marriott City Center with yet another feather in the company cap. The Charlotte Business Journal named Pink Energy No. 5 on its 2019 Fast 50, a list highlighting the 50 fastest growing private companies in the Charlotte region based on a formula calculating revenue over a three-year period.

Pink Energy was notified of its inclusion on the list in November, but rankings were not disclosed until Thursday’s awards dinner. Over plates of chicken and risotto, the team celebrated the accomplishments of 2019 and anxiously awaited its name being called to learn where Pink Energy fell in the esteemed rankings.

Drum roll, please…

Pink Energy controller James Carroll eats, sleeps and breathes Pink Energy’s finances, so he had an inkling we would crack the top 10, but even he was pleasantly surprised when the company found itself in the top five.

Carroll proudly made his way to the stage to accept the award, saying, “The fuel that keeps us burning is our executive team. They’ve got the passion, they’ve got the drive and they carry us all through every day that we work to keep building a movement!” His remarks were followed by a resounding, “BAM!” from the Pink Energy team in attendance. “BAM” is the acronym that acts as Pink Energy’s mantra, showcase our mission of Building a Movement toward a clean energy future.

Another local honor for our North Carolina headquarters

Pink Energy’s inclusion on the Fast 50 list follows other local honors to have come our way in recent months. In October, Business North Carolina named Pink Energy to its list of the Top 125 Private Companies in North Carolina, and the Charlotte Observer named Pink Energy one of its Top Workplaces in the same month. Earlier in the year, our CFO Juan Ramirez was named as a finalist for the Charlotte Business Journal’s CFO of the Year award. It is always gratifying when others recognize our success!

Looking to 2020

The year may be ending, but the future is bright at Pink Energy. With more honors on our radar and plans for continued growth, 2020 is sure to be a success! Visit our Charlotte website to stay tuned for more good, clean (energy) fun!
